About ELOHC
East London Oral Health Centre is a dental practice that was birthed from Nu-Smile Dental and Pohl Dental Studio joining forces in January 2020.
We are based in the suburb of Beacon Bay, serving a community that stretches far beyond the borders of East London.
Our staff are eager to learn and we strive to implement treatment of international standards by keeping up to date with the latest technologies and techniques that dentistry has to offer.
Meet the Team
Dr. Migael Pohl
I’ve been with ELOHC since the end of 2019.
Professionally, I’m both a dentist, an entrepreneur and a student, always eager to find innovative ways to serve my community and keep my practice at the forefront.
Sport plays a big role in my life - whether I’m on the field or cheering from the sidelines, I thrive on the energy and camaraderie it brings.
Dr. Jonathan Koekemoer
Dr. Jonathan Koekemoer, is a skilled dentist with special expertise in Oral Surgery and Botox treatments.
Whether you need advanced dental care or are interested in enhancing your appearance with Botox, Dr. Koekemoer is here to provide top-notch care tailored to your needs.
Dr. Dawie Schlebusch
Dawie obtained his B.Ch.D. degree from Stellenbosch University and has 26 years of experience.
Dawie's special interests are Aesthetic dentistry, surgery and implants. He has a post graduate diploma in Periodontics and Implantology. He has attended multiple Implant and Aesthetic courses internationally and lectures locally.
Dawie's favourite hobby is dentistry!
Dr. Marieke Pohl
I am a devoted family person, happily married with two wonderful children who inspire me every day.
I have a special passion for paediatric dentistry and orthodontics, combining my love for helping kids with my creativity.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, spending quality time with loved ones, and being outdoors.
Jocelyn Glover
Jocelyn Glover is dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain bright, healthy smiles through expert oral care and personalised support.
With a warm and approachable manner, she takes the time to understand each patient’s individual needs, offering tailored advice and treatments to promote long-term oral health.
Candice Schroeder (Candy)
Candice has been a valued member of the practice for over 21 years. She began her journey as an assistant and has since grown into a versatile team member, now supporting both the administrative side of the practice and stepping into any role where she’s needed.
Avril Stuart (Avie)
Avril is the other right hand that you will meet in the dental surgery. Along with the dentists, she ensures that patients are comfortable and that the surgery is operating smoothly. Her gentleness leaves patients feeling comfortable.
Avril's favourite hobbies are FOOD, cooking, arts and crafts, MORE food and spending time with family.
Sheba Chibwe (Chi Chi)
Sheba, affectionately known as Chi-Chi, has been a valued member of the East London Oral Health Centre (ELOHC) team since 2021.
As one of our friendly and dedicated staff member, she plays a crucial role in ensuring each patient feels comfortable and well cared for during their visit.
Outside of the clinic, Chi-Chi enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and extended family as well as attending church. Chi-chi also loves cooking and baking in her free time.
Nikita de Bruin
Nikita is an enthusiastic and dedicated member of the East London Oral Health Centre team, always eager to learn and ready to lend a helping hand.
As both Dental Assistant and Receptionist, she plays a key role in ensuring patients feel welcomed from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. Her warm personality and can-do attitude make her an invaluable part of the ELOHC family.
Toinette Wesson (T)
I have been with ELOHC since January 2007. I started as an assistant and have become a versatile member of the practice family, stepping into multiple roles as needed.
My Family (work and home) is important to me. I love sewing, gardening, and spending time with my children and grandchildren. And of course, my husband. We love watching sport as a family, and it always becomes an occasion for special memories.
Sandile Bulwana
With great attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety, Sandile plays a key role in ensuring our environment remains clean, compliant, and welcoming.
Outside of work, Sandile is a passionate football enthusiast and enjoys spending his free time on the pitch or following his favourite teams.
Chloe Deale
Chloe is a valuable part of the ELOHC team. She joined the practice earlier this year as a Sterilisation Technician and a versatile team member, always ready to lend a hand.
Outside of work, Chloe enjoys music, writing, and spending time at the beach.
Saffron De Beyer
Saffron is a dedicated and hardworking team member at East London Oral Health Care. Known for her helpful nature and calm presence, she plays a key role in supporting our dental team and ensuring patients feel comfortable and well cared for during their visits.
Her commitment to patient care and attention to detail make her a valued member of our team.
Sunel Breedt
Sunel joined the ELOHC team in early 2025 and has quickly become a valued part of the practice. Her positive attitude and dedication help ensure things run smoothly each day.
Outside of work, Sunel enjoys getting lost in a good book and cherishes quality time with her son and family.
Monique Herbst
Monique joined ELOHC in September 2024. With a bright and approachable personality, she handles various administrative tasks for the practice while also ensuring that our patients have a wonderful and warm visit.
When she’s not at work, Monique is a devoted mom to two energetic toddlers - a full-time role in itself! She also enjoys exploring new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen whenever she gets the chance.
Lulu Ntsele
Lulu joined the practice in 2021 and plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, neat, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff. Her attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness help ensure the smooth operation of the practice on a day-to-day basis.
Outside of work, Lulu enjoys spending quality time with her family, who are very important to her. She also has a passion for cooking and sewing.
