About ELOHC
East London Oral Health Centre is a dental practice that was birthed from Nu-Smile Dental and Pohl Dental Studio joining forces in January 2020.
We are based in the suburb of Beacon Bay, serving a community that stretches far beyond the borders of East London.
Our staff are eager to learn and we strive to implement treatment of international standards by keeping up to date with the latest technologies and techniques that dentistry has to offer.
Meet the Team
Dawie Schlebusch (Dawie)
Dawie obtained his B.Ch.D. degree from Stellenbosch and has 23 years of experience.
Dawie's special interests are Aesthetic dentistry, surgery and implants. He has a post graduate diploma in Periodontics and Implantology. He has attended multiple Implant and Aesthetic courses internationally and lectures locally.
Dawie's favourite hobby is dentistry!
Migael Pohl
Migael Pohl was raised in East London. He studied in Cape Town and obtained his BChD degree in 2016. Migael has an interest in dental lasers, implants and aesthetic dentistry.
He loves the outdoors, exercising and you’ll find him constantly eager to take on a new adventure.
Michelle Schlebusch
(Tooth Fairy)
Michelle is a qualified Oral Hygienists and specialize in preventative care. She juggles her position between attending to patients in the oral hygiene clinic and seeing to administrative affairs of the practice.
Her special interests in dentistry include prevention and whitening.
Michelle's favourite hobby is cycling, adventure racing, trail running and cross fit.
Zintle Samente
Zintle qualified as an Oral Hygienist in 2016 at the University of the Western Cape.
She has a passion for oral hygiene.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking along trails or jogging.
Candice Schroeder (Candy)
Candice is one of our right hands in the dental surgery. She sees to patients along with the dentists, making sure that everything runs smoothly in the surgery. Her friendly gestures leaves every patient smiling.
Candice's favourite hobbies are reading, sudoku and going to the Transkei.
Avril Stuart (Avie)
Avril is the other right hand that you will meet in the dental surgery. Along with the dentists, she ensures that patients are comfortable and that the surgery is operating smoothly. Her gentleness leaves patients feeling comfortable.
Avril's favourite hobbies are FOOD, cooking, arts and crafts, MORE food and spending time with family.
Sheba Chibwe (Chi Chi)
Chi Chi loves spending time with her daughter, family and going to church.
She enjoys cooking, baking and meditating.
Toinette Wesson (T)
Toinette is our go-to-girl with any queries related to administrative affairs. She is one of the friendly voices you’ll hear over the phone when you call with any queries.
Toinette's favourite hobbies are sewing, reading, flower arranging and gardening with her granddaughter.
Luleka Ntsele (Lulu)
Lulu joined our team in 2021. She enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking.
Sandile Bulwana
Sandile is one of the friendly faces who ensures that the surgeries’ infection control remains up to standard.
Sandile's favourite hobbie is football.
Paige Spencer
Paige joined the ELOHC in 2020 and she’s one of the friendly smiles to welcome you into our practice at the reception.
She enjoys doing arts and crafts with her son, biking with her Harley Club and spending time with her friends and family.
